Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026. Exactly what we store on your device, and what you can turn off.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy lists the cookies and similar browser storage that TrackMyPG actually sets. It covers the TrackMyPG website, the PG Owner dashboard, and the Tenant Portal. Everything named below is something the product genuinely uses — we do not list categories we have not implemented.
“Cookies” here also covers local storage and session storage, two browser features that keep data on your device in a similar way. We use both, and they are itemised below.
2. Two Categories, Not Four
TrackMyPG uses only two kinds of browser storage:
- Strictly necessary — signing you in, keeping you signed in, protecting your account, and remembering a small number of interface choices. These cannot be switched off, because switching them off means you cannot use the Service at all.
- Analytics (optional) — understanding which pages are used and how people arrive. These load only after you accept them.
We do not run advertising, retargeting or ad-personalisation cookies. There is no Meta/Facebook Pixel and no advertising pixel of any kind, and we do not sell or share browsing data with advertising networks.
3. Strictly Necessary Storage
These are set because the Service cannot work without them. They are first-party — set by TrackMyPG, not by an advertiser — and none of them are used for advertising or sold to anyone. The authentication and security items are held as HTTP cookies, most of them HttpOnly (unreadable by scripts) and marked Secure in production; the rest are held in your browser's local or session storage.

Signing out and revoking sessions invalidate the relevant tokens on our servers, not only in your browser. We have not listed the individual technical names of these items: they are internal implementation details that change over time, and publishing them would document our security architecture without telling you anything more about what is stored or why. If you want the specifics for your own account, ask us using the contact details in section 10.
4. Analytics (Optional, Off by Default)
None of the following load until you choose Accept analytics on the cookie banner. If you choose Essential only, or simply never answer, they are never added to the page at all.
- Google Tag Manager — the container we use to load the analytics tag below.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate page views, referrers and navigation paths. Sets
_gaand_ga_*cookies, typically for up to two years. - Ahrefs Web Analytics — aggregate traffic and search-referral measurement.
We use these to decide which pages and features are worth investing in. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
5. Third Parties That Set Their Own Cookies
- Razorpay — our payment gateway. Its checkout is loaded only when you actually start a payment, and it may set cookies needed to complete and secure that transaction. We never receive or store your full card details.
- Google Maps — loaded on screens that show a property map or place search, and may set cookies from Google.
- Cloudinary — serves images and uploaded documents from its CDN.
These are operated by those companies under their own privacy policies. Razorpay checkout is necessary to take a payment and is therefore not part of the optional analytics choice.
6. Changing Your Choice
You can change your analytics decision at any time:
- Use the link in the site footer, or the button below.
- Withdrawing consent reloads the page so the analytics scripts stop running immediately.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies in your browser will prevent you from signing in. Managing cookies in common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
7. Do Not Track
There is no agreed standard for how sites should interpret the browser “Do Not Track” signal, and we do not currently respond to it. The cookie banner is the control that actually works: declining there means no analytics script is loaded.
8. Mobile App
The TrackMyPG mobile app does not use browser cookies. It stores sign-in tokens and a device identifier in the operating system's storage for the same purposes described in section 3. Uninstalling the app removes them.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we add or remove a technology listed here, we will update this page and its “Last updated” date. If we introduce a new category of optional storage, we will ask for your consent again rather than relying on a previous answer.
